Middlesex.......... William Henry Lewis, 77, passed away on April 21, 2016 at Avante at Wilson. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Spring Hope Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex, NC. He was born in Nash County, August 27, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leamon William Lewis and Mollie Strickland Lewis. William loved sports. He was a fan of N.C. State Wolfpack. He coached a basketball team in an adult league for 20 years. He won many trophies in his 25 years of playing Putt Putt. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-two years, Lois Whitley Lewis and sister-in-law, Joyce W. Peele.
