                                 William Cleveland Delbridge, Jr., 73, passed away Sunday, October 08, 2023. He was born in Nash County, NC to the late William Cleveland Delbridge and Danize Wheless Delbridge

                                 Bill`s family lived in Spring Hope, NC where he was a member of the last class to graduate from Spring Hope High School in 1968. He served three years in the US Navy, stationed on board the USS Plymouth Rock. Upon separation, he completed his degree in Business Administration from Campbell College. After a diverse and successful career he retired in 2014 as the Claims manager for the North Carolina Insurance Guaranty Association.

                                 Bill was a loving husband and father. In retirement he enjoyed his books, morning coffee on the front porch, golfing with friends at Peachtree Country Club, Friday morning breakfast with the guys at Bojangles, his American Legion meetings, lots of yardwork, and getting together with his siblings. In recent years the addition of two boisterous “rescue pups” seven year old Isabella and two year old Hazel, made for a deeper appreciation of all the joys of home.

                                 He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cleveland and Danize Wheless Delbridge, Sr.; brother, Anthony C. Delbridge.

                                 He is survived by his wife, Patti Krueger Delbridge of the home; son, William Cleveland Delbridge III of the home; sisters, Carole Strickland (Roger), Kay Davis, Sheila Jefferys (Joe); brother, Andy Delbridge (Nancy Miller Delbridge); brother-in-law, Kerry Krueger (Anita); sister-in-law, Nancy Miller Delbridge (Spouse of late brother Anthony C. Delbridge); nephews, Matther, Joshua and Jonathan Jefferys; Grant Krueger; Drew and Kenan Delbridge; nieces, Heather Parker, Ashleigh Strickland, Celeste Sugg, and Elise K. Ayers.

                                 A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Oakdale cemetery.

                                 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
