Wayne Reams

 Jimmie Wayne Reams, aged 68, passed away May 7, 2023, in Canada where he lived the last several years of his life.

Born in Nash County on July 7, 1954. He was the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle Reams. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Earl Reams and sister Ruth Reams Medlin.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori Reams Brooks and Jami Lynn Reams and grandsons, Jaden Michael Brooks and Tyler Jameson Brooks.

Wayne drove trucks for over 50 years and was able to visit 49 of the 50 states. The only state he did not visit was Hawaii, because he couldn't drive his truck there. When not driving trucks, Wayne loved being outdoors. His favorite things to do were hunt, fish, and ride horses.

Wayne had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed telling jokes, funny stories and especially teasing those he loved the most. He was a kind hearted man and was always willing to help out anyone in need, especially his girls and his grandsons.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hope Funeral Home.
