Shelia Mae (Chamblee) Brown

MIDDLESEX – Shelia Mae Chamblee Brown, age 79, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. Born in Wilson, NC, on March 20, 1947, she was the daughter of late Frank Raeford Chamblee and Mae Jordan Chamblee. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy F. Brown; son, Frederick Ryan Brown; and brother, Frank “Rayford” Chamblee, Jr.

Shelia is survived by her daughter, Tammy B. Dew, of Middlesex; her sisters, Pattie C. Waller (James), of Henderson, Frankie C. May, of Zebulon, and Joy C. Rhodes, of Morehead City; and her great-granddaughter, Jennifer Brooke Dew.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM at Spring Hope Funeral Home, 7881 Webbs Mill Road, Spring Hope, NC 27882, with Pastor Jeff Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow the service at Brown Family Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be from 1 PM until 1:45PM prior to the service in the chapel of Spring Hope Funeral Home.
