Raymond Rudell Alford, Jr.
Zebulon…. Raymond R. Alford, Jr., age 94, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Popular Springs Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. Interment will follow the service at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Michael Lawing will officiate at the service.
Mr. Alford honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He married his sweetheart while home on a weekend pass, Mary Hazel Farmer.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Hazel Farmer Alford of the home, and two sons; Raydell Alford and wife Chara Lene and Mark Alford. He also leaves three grandchildren; Joseph Alford, Renee Perry and Katelyn Alford and six great-grandchildren.
