Linda Driver Brantley

Spring Hope……..Linda Brantley, 85, passed away at her home, Thursday, November 17, 2022.

A graveside service will be Saturday, November 19. 2022 at 2:00 PM at Oak Dale Cemetery, Spring Hope.  Chaplain Ricky Forkum will conduct the service.

Linda was preceded  in death by her parents, Jordan Calbot and Mattie Ruth Driver.  She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she served as secretary and  treasurer of the WMU. She worked at First Citizens bank for forty years , and many of those years as a loan officer.  She enjoyed playing golf with The Ladies League and her son Jay.  She also enjoyed playing canasta with a group of friends. 

Linda is survived by her loving husband, James Oliver Brantley of the home; her son Jay Brantley of Spring Hope; two sisters; Patricia Moore of Bunn and Susan Beasley of  Spring Hope; a brother, Stanley Driver of Virginia and a granddaughter Jordon B. Nichols and  husband Justin.  She also leaves several nieces and  nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Spring Hope, PO Box 177. Spring Hope, NC 27882 and Community Home Care and Hospice of Rocky Mount, 2479 Hurt Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
