Spring Hope........Holly Marie Wood, 23, of Spring Hope, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015. Visitation was Monday, December 21, 2015 from 6:00-8:30PM at New Hope Worship Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Worship Center. Burial followed the service in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens. Rev. Joe Ferguson, Rev. Glenn Perry and Rev. Larry K. Perry officiated. Holly is survived by her parents, Dwayne and Darlene Wood and her siblings, Haley, Hannah and Hunter Wood all of Spring Hope. She is also survived by her grandparents, Ervin and Connie Wood and Ed and Janet Salter, along with two great grandparents, Louise Algood and Martha Cash. Her aunts and uncles are Derrick and Connie Hinkle, Mark and Ada Trujillo, Lee and Marie Salter, Brad and Jean Salter, Danny Wood and Donnie Wood. She had many cousins and extended family that loved her too, and will miss her always. She is a 2010 graduate of Southern Nash High School. Her love of animals steered Holly toward a career that would allow her to care for them. In April 2015, she graduated from Miller Motte College in Raleigh, NC with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. Unfortunately, her illness which extended from her pituitary tumor struck her shortly after graduating and she was never able to fulfill her dream. She passed due to complications from her illness. Holly was a beautiful young lady inside and out and never met a stranger. She always tried to include everyone in everything and wanted everyone to be happy. Her beautiful smile and our love for her will resonate in all of our hearts forever as we continue to live on this earth until we meet her again one day in Heaven.
