George Brantley Obituary

Spring Hope....... George Brantley, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Spring Hope Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Rev. Bill Brantley will conduct the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sandy Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy. 97, Spring Hope. Mr. Brantley was born and raised in the Stanhope Community where he lived all his life. He served his country proudly in World War II and retired from CSX Railroad as an engineer after more than thirty five years service. Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Gold Brantley and Eva Maude Edwards Brantley; two brothers, Edward and Lester Gold Brantley, Jr. Online condolences may be made to www.springhopefh.com.
