Delores Marilyn (Edwards) Burnette

SPRING HOPE – Delores Marilyn Edwards Burnette, age 82, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Born in Nash County, NC on August 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Gus Edwards and Elizabeth Marilyn Windborne Edwards.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Burnette.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Teresa Burnette of Spring Hope; her son, Gary Burnette and wife Heather of Lake Royale; her brother Phillip Edwards; her grandchildren, Christopher Vester, Kenneth Coppedge and Chasity Burnette; and great-granddaughter, Ava Gibson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Spring Hope Funeral Homes with Pastor Larry Perry officiating. A visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
