Carl Craig Strickland

Rocky Mount.............Carl Strickland, 93, formally of Spring Hope, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Spring Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens. Mr. Strickland was a retired US Army Chief Warrant Officer, having served his country proudly for twenty-eight years. He began his service during WWII and his duties took him all over the world, including Korea, Nepal and two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is survived by his loving wife, Navada G. Strickland of the home; daughter, Maggi Harding and husband Richard of Red Oak; two sons, Craig Strickland and wife Hilda of Morehead City, and Bill Strickland and wife Sandra of Kingsland, GA. He is also survived by a sister, Hulda Wilson of Spring Hope, two grandchildren; Robert Strickland and Anita Strickland and two great grandchildren, Austin Brown and Mackenzie Kuc.
