Betty Ruth Wood

Spring Hope...................... Betty Ruth Wood, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Funeral service will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Spring Hope Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Peachtree Baptist Church Cemetery, Spring Hope. Rev. Larry Perry will conduct the service. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. L. Wood, her parents, Ernest S. Gardner and Kattie Joyner Gardner, a grandson, Ryan Stetson and thirteen siblings. Mrs. Wood leaves to cherish her memory two daughters; Linda W. Stetson of Wasille, Alaska and Ellen W. Marks of Louisburg; three sons; Philip Lewis Wood of Spring Hope, Danny Wood of Spring Hope, Randy Wood of Youngsville; two sisters; Rachel Strickland and Elsie Sledge of Spring Hope; three brothers; Roy Gardner, Troy Gardner and Larry Gardner of Rocky Mount. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, November 1, 2019 at Spring Hope Funeral Home, 6:30 to 8:30 PM and other times at the home of Ellen Marks.
