Betsy Davis Murray

Betsy Davis Murray April 05, 1950 June 26, 2017 Middlesex...........Betsy Davis Murray, age 67, passed away on June 26, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Born April 5, 1950, Betsy grew up at The Middlesex Baptist Children's Home. She always described her time there as happy and enjoyed serving as a lifeguard there as well. She enjoyed every opportunity she had to reconnect with the friends she grew up with. Betsy served as both a girl scout and boy scout leader. She was an avid reader and never met a cat she didn't love. She worked for many years at the Resco Mart in Zebulon. Betsy possessed a knack for making every special occasion just a little more special. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles Murray of Samaria; her children, Renee Oveysey, Melissa Fields (Charlie); Brian Smith, Braxton Murray and her 9 grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers throughout this difficult time. A very special thank you is extended to the staff of The Zebulon House for their loving care of Betsy during her time with them. The family will receive visitors at the home of Renee Oveysey, 5703 Stott St., Bailey, NC 27807.
