Barbara Ann Newton Hinton July 1, 1934 - June 22, 2020 Spring Hope.....Barbara Ann Newton Hinton, age 85 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday June 22, 2020. She was born in Vance County on July 1, 1934 to the late George Haley Newton and Mary Ella Twisdale Newton. She was preceded in death by husband, John Marvin Hinton; daughter, Tulia Hinton Neal, four brothers and one sister. She loved her five children, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter with all of her heart. Her endearing smile and joyous nature kept the little ones laughing. As long as she was with family and friends she was completely content. She was a member of Momeyer Baptist Church in Nashville. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Christy Wilder (John), Ann Brantley (David), Beth Pace (Chris); son, John Marvin Hinton, Jr; brother, John Marshall Newton (Sarah); grandchildren, Teri Perkinson (Matt), Chris Wilder (Christy), Traci Tolleson (Travis), Kelli Matthews (Chris), Kyle Brantley (Julia), Kat Owens (Kacie), Christopher Pace (Abby), Douglas Pace (Erica), Phillip Pace (Leighana), John Marvin Hinton,III (Katelyn); great-grandchildren, Kenny, Adam, Amanda, Justin, Audrey, Brianna, Charleston, Deacon, John, Cadence, Austin, Gracen, Keriann, Emari, Kylie, Acie, Natalie; great-great-granddaughter, Alayna and special friend Lunelle Brantley. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Free Union Baptist Church in Spring Hope, NC. Online condolences may be made to www.springhopefh.com.
