Herman Ivy StrumFeb.17,1925 July 6, 2014Spring HopeHerman Ivy Strum, age 89, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Spring Hope Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am. Rev. Corell Pittman will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Hope Memorial Gardens.Mr. Strum was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Lillian D. Strum; three brothers, Alton, Neal and Thaxton Strum and a sister, Lucy Strum.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Lula Bell Strum of the home; one daughter; Tammy Pittman and husband Douglas of Burnsville; one son; Dennis Strum and wife Gayle of Castalia. He is also survived by two sisters; Shirley Burton of Hampton, Va. And Gretchen Edwards of Greenwood, Miss. And five grandchildren; Crystal and husband Fred Hull, Ashley Strum, Samuel Pridgen,Jr.and fiance Megan Dawes, Carey Pittman and fiance Jeffery Laws and Jonathan Pittman and three great grandchildren; Trenton and Rhiannon Hull and David Laws.The family will receive friends at Spring Hope Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 8, 2014, 6:30 until 8:30 pm and other times at the home.
