Annie Clyde Edwards BanksJuly 18, 1917 - September 16, 2014Spring Hope.Annie Clyde Edwards Banks, 97, formally of Spring Hope, NC went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born in Nash County, North Carolina, the eighth of ten children to the late Manalcus Clyde and Annie Vick Edwards. In addition to her parents and siblings, she is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Carl V. Banks. She was known for her radiant personality, grace and servanthood. She was a true ï¿Â½Southern Ladyï¿Â½. Annie Clyde worked as a bookkeeper for various companies and the Town of Spring Hope. She served the Lord in many capacities at First Baptist Church, Spring Hope, including serving as a Deacon.Annie Clyde is survived by her son, Carl R. Banks and wife, Ann, of Raleigh; daughter, Gail Banks of Fuquay-Varina; granddaughters, Michelle Banks Edwards and husband, Stewart of Apex, and Heather Banks Robinson and husband, Shaun of Wake Forest; and great grandchildren, Lea Ann Edwards; Lanie, Hayden, Brinkley, and Sawyer Robinson. Annie Clyde repeatedly expressed how proud she was of her entire family and how much she enjoyed watching her great grandchildren play.A celebration of her wonderful and blessed life will be on Friday, September 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Spring Hope at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the church.The family would like to thank the staffs at Carillon Assisted Living and Universal HealthCare both of Fuquay-Varina.
